I was there... as made the journey by rail from Middlesbrough at the time....took a few "neutrals" with me and was down the side alongside the away pen. There were day tripping Scots there just for the novelty of a game so fortunately a quite calm home area. was quite normal to go to away games at the time where i would have to keep quiet.....it was nevertheless a long diverted walk back to the train station and remember seeing Geordies wearing vests in winter and nazi second world war helmets at the station.
